We give the majority of our commission back to you as a rebate via PayPal.  We pay all PayPal transaction fees including international cross-border fees.  This offer is valid for claims submitted by January 31, 2010.

How To Receive Your Rebate

  1. Use this link to get Thesis.
Make sure not to visit any other Web sites while following these steps.
  2. After payment, click on “Return to DIY Themes”.
  3. Fill out this form with your order information.

How To Find the Order ID

Method #1

On the DIY Themes Thank You page, look at the URL and find the 5-digit payment_id shown in bold in the example below.

http://diythemes.com/amember/thanks.php?payment_id=12345&tx=1234567890ABCDEFG&st=Completed&amt=164.00&cc=USD&cm=&item_number=

Method #2

PayPal will e-mail you a receipt.  Find the field labeled Invoice ID at the bottom of the receipt.  The Invoice ID will be in the format, 12345-XYZ.  Please enter only the 5-digit numeral portion of the Invoice ID onto the rebate form for the Order ID.

You should receive an e-mail confirmation from us (WP Rebates) within a few minutes after submitting the rebate form.  Please check your spam folder if it doesn’t appear in your inbox.  If not, please contact us by e-mail or notify us in the comments.

Your rebate will be paid in US dollars via PayPal once the 30-day refund period is over and if you have not refunded your purchase.  In some cases, if a buyer does not redirect to the DIYThemes site after payment, it may take longer.

If you want to make sure that nothing goes wrong, follow these 2 additional steps right before clicking on our banner link to get Thesis.  These 2 steps will make sure that the commission doesn’t go to another affiliate so that we will be able to give you your discount.  These steps simply remove other affiliates’ cookies from your computer.

  1. Clear Flash cookie.
Delete the Macromedia Flash cookie file named pap20.sol created by DIYTheme’s affiliate tracking system in the following location.
    Example location

    Mac:
    /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/<...>/diythemes.com/pap20.sol
  2. Clear browser cookies.
Delete all browser cookies for domain diythemes.com and .diythemes.com.  Make sure you are not blocking cookies as well.

Will this still work if we already have an account at DIY themes, but have not yet purchased Thesis?

Hi Craig,

The problem may have occurred if there were extra whitespace characters at the beginning or end of the Order Reference number. I have fixed the form validation to allow extra whitespace characters in the Order Reference field. I have a record of your order so there is no need to resubmit your information.

Hi,

I just want to comment that the process has been pretty smooth except that the confirmation mail was found in my Gmail spam folder. You may want to highlight this to future customers.

Cheers!

I just now ordered Thesis, clicked your link to fill out the rebate form, and received this message: “Your invoice ID failed to validate.” This happened even though I copied and pasted the Transaction ID. I even tried the Order Reference number from DIYTHEMES and that didn’t work either.
Prior to all of this I followed all of your instructions to clear flash cookies and browser cookies. I hope that you will fix this soon.
I have copies of my Paypal ID as well as the DIYTHEMES order number.

October 12, 2009 – Note: The following comment is outdated. The rebate form has been updated to take the 5-digit Order Reference from the DIY Themes thank you page to make the process simpler.

Hi Norman,

The Invoice ID required on the form is the PayPal Invoice ID from your PayPal receipt. It should be in the format, 12345-XYZ. That is 5 numerals followed by a dash followed by 3 letters. Please try resubmitting the form using the PayPal Invoice ID.

Thanks, Claire,
I had sent in the Transaction ID that I was given immediately by PayPal that didn’t work.

Then PayPal emailed the receipt with the Invoice ID that you wanted. I put that into your form and it went through.

You might want to make this clear in your instructions to avoid confusion.

Thank you,
Norm

I ordered Thesis through your link yesterday and was hoping to get an email confirmation from you after filling out your form with the order information. Did you receive the info?

Hi Jimmy,

Yes, I received your order information as well as the matching order confirmation from DIY Themes. I just sent you an e-mail confirmation. We will credit your PayPal account with your rebate approximately 30 days after the date of purchase. We are working on getting the e-mail confirmation system automated for faster response time.
